Gladstone Mountain Bike Park

Welcome to Gladstone’s home of mountain biking. Built by riders, maintained by volunteers, and tucked into bushland right on the city’s edge, the Gladstone Mountain Bike Park offers a thrilling trail escape, just minutes from town.

The park is located at the end of Koowin Drive, Kirkwood.

There is convenient car parking available at the trailhead, with direct access to the trail network.

No water or toilet facilities are available on site – come prepared.

Bins are not provided anywhere in the park. Please take all rubbish out with you.

Something for Every Rider

We pride ourselves on a trail network that grows with your confidence and ability. Whether you are just starting out or looking to push your limits, you'll find the perfect line here:

  • Beginners & Families: Enjoy wide, flowing green trails designed to build confidence and provide a fun, safe introduction to riding.

  • Intermediate Riders: Level up on our blue trails, featuring technical climbs and rewarding descents that test your flow.

  • Advanced Enthusiasts: Take on our black diamond sections, packed with technical features, steep drops, and high-speed challenges.

Whatever your skill level, the Gladstone Mountain Bike Club invites you to gear up, hit the dirt, and enjoy one of the best trail networks in the region.

Mountain Bike Responsibility Code

Mountain biking involves the risk of injury. Common sense and caution can reduce the risk for your safety and the safety of others, please adhere to the code.

RESPECT the Trails. RESPECT Each Other. RESPECT the Park.

R – Ride Within Your Ability
Can you stop safely? Have you ridden or sighted this trail today? Ride in control and know your limits.
Stay off the trails & out of the bike reserve if you are impaired by alcohol or drugs.

E – Earn Your Turns
Volunteer at a dig day or help out at a race or club event. Our trails exist because riders give back.

S – Share the Trail
Give way to other riders and park users:
* Riders traveling downhill have right of way.
* Walkers give way to riders.
Avoid stopping on the trail or in blind sections for extended periods.
Familiarise yourself with the trails. Stay on the marked trails. Do not cut switchbacks.
Take note of trail direction - never ride the wrong direction.

P – Plan Ahead
Is your bike and protective equipment in good condition?
Always wear a helmet.
Carry water and a mobile phone in case of emergency. Let someone know where you’re riding and when you expect to return.
Familiarise yourself with the Emergency Points within the park.

E – Expect the Unexpected
Accidents happen. Be aware of your location and know where the nearest Emergency Point is.
Assist if you are involved in a collision or witness an accident.

C – Closed Means Closed
Our volunteers work tirelessly to maintain the trails. Please don’t ride when trails or features are wet, boggy, or closed for repairs.
Obey all signs and warnings.

T – Take It Home
We share the park with many of its wild inhabitants and are privileged to ride in a beautiful bush environment. Take nothing but photos. Leave nothing but tyre tracks. Please take all rubbish away with you
